These terms apply when you use Calendar Assistant (the Chrome extension, the phone app and the web app at app.thecalendarassistant.com). By using it, you agree to them.

1. What Calendar Assistant does

Calendar Assistant is an AI assistant that reads and changes events in your Google Calendar when you ask it to, by chat, voice, the calendar view or the dashboard. It works with your own Google account, which you connect with Google sign-in.

2. Your account

3. The AI can make mistakes

The assistant uses artificial intelligence. It can misunderstand you, pick the wrong date, time, calendar or event, or give wrong information. Always check important events (appointments, travel, deadlines) in your calendar. Calendar Assistant is a helper, not a guarantee that you will be reminded of or get to an appointment.

4. Free plan, free Premium day and Premium

5. Fair use

Premium "unlimited" is meant for normal personal use. To protect the service, we may slow down or limit automated, excessive or abusive use (for example scripts, or thousands of messages a day).

6. Payment and cancellation

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Calendar Assistant to break the law, harm others, attack or overload the service, try to get around its limits, or access calendars you're not allowed to use. The assistant only helps with calendar topics.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but can't promise it is always available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we stop the service, we will tell you in advance where possible and end paid subscriptions without charging for time you can't use.

9. Liability

We are fully liable for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law requires it (for example the German Product Liability Act). For slight negligence we are only liable if an essential duty is breached, and then only for typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Data in your Google Calendar is stored by Google; Calendar Assistant does not keep a copy of your events.

Third-party services. Calendar Assistant relies on services from other companies (such as Google, Lemon Squeezy and our hosting provider). We are not responsible for outages, errors or security incidents within those services that we did not cause.

Your account security. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure (for example with a strong password and two-step verification). We are not responsible for misuse of the app through your Google account by someone who got access to it outside our service.

10. Privacy

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using Calendar Assistant at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12. Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of that country still protect you.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
